Mr. Harvey Austin Carroll, age 75, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018. He was born on June 18, 1943, in Ponce De Leon, Florida to Carlie D. Carroll and Alma Jessie Padgett Carroll. Mr. Carroll was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked as a correctional officer for the State of Florida for over 20 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and was known for his great sense of humor.

Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his father and mother; one brother, Houston Carroll, one sister, Melanie Odom, one son, Rocky Carroll.

Mr. Carroll is survived by his loving wife, Michele C. Carroll of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; three sons, Stacey A. Carroll of Roswell, Georgia, Colby A. Carroll of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Jesse W. Carroll of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; three daughters, Lisa D. Nolan of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, Katina D. Simmons and husband Jack of Paxton, Florida, and Emily N. Carroll of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one brother, Carlton Carroll and wife Pat of Leonia, Florida; two sisters, Aulifay Anderson of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Edna Mae Cross of Leonia, Florida; one sister-in-law, Odie Mae Carroll of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, also by numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation was held from 1:00 ~ 2:00 PM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs, 1063 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 8, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs, with Reverend Durl Odom officiating. Those serving as pallbearers were Jesse Carroll, Colby Carroll, Jack Simmons, Dillon Cotton, Shelton Barlett, and Chris Hayslip. Flowers are being accepted. Burial followed in the Leonia Cemetery.
