Ola Dolores Griffin Branch, known as "Dot" to her family and "Dee" to friends, died peacefully at her home in Tallahassee on November 24th 2018. She was born Nov 11, 1936 in Bay County Florida to George Otha and Vina Lou Stanley Griffin. A 5th Generation Floridian she graduated from Ponce de Leon High School and Valencia Community College. She married Rex G. Branch, Ret CMSGT USAF, in 1956 and became a military wife and mother. She made a home for her family in many places including Florida, Virginia, Georgia, Nevada, and France, retiring to Orlando and Prosperity, FL. She enjoyed reading, traveling, dancing, camping, sports and above all spending time with her family. She was an accomplished doubles tennis player and member of the Tallahassee Silver Bells, competing in matches as recently as summer/fall of 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, grandson Steven Dane Scott, and brother George Otha Griffin, Jr. She is survived by siblings Bill Griffin, Francis Cooey, Gay Burgess (Buck), Salina Ditch and Stanley Griffin (Monica); children Vicky Branch Duke of Holmes County, Lucinda Branch Scott and husband Steve Scott of Quincy, and Jennifer Branch Hill and husband Brian Hill of Tallahassee; Grandchildren Matt Duke (Lisa), Erin Duke Heim (Edward), Stephen Duke, Amy Duke, Callie Scott Hill, Carrie Scott Allison (Daniel), Morgan Stalvey, and Katy Hill; Great grandchildren Roman and Ariel Hill; and a large extended family.

The family received visitors on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at the Ball House at Southwood, located at 3255 Hemingway Blvd in Tallahassee. Memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at 2:30 pm CST at the Branch Ranch, Prosperity, Holmes County Florida. She will be interred at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville FL.
