Mrs. Queenal Massaline Jones
In humble submission to the will of God, we respectfully announce the earthly transition of Mrs. Queenal Massaline Jones on February 8, 2020 in the Northwest Florida Community Hospital of Chipley, FL. She was 74 years old and a life-long native of Washington County, FL.
"Mrs. Queenal", affectionately known by many, was given as a heritage and gift from the Lord to Leroy and Mary Katherine Massaline on August 17, 1946. After her birth in Ebro, FL, the Massaline family relocated to Chipley, FL.
She was educated in the public school system of Washington County, graduating from Roulhac High School. Upon completion of highs school, Queenal relocated to Detroit MI and lived there for a short period of time. She missed her family and relocated back to Chipley, FL where she met and married the late Wilmer Jones.
Queenal heard the knock of the Lord on the door of her heart and decided to open the door and let Jesus in and there he had a permanent home. She will often say, "God is a good God", even when her body was going thru pain and discomfort. Queenal was a member of the Johnson Temple First Born Church of the Living God for many years. She was not ashamed of her relationship with the Lord and knew that the gospel of Christ was the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; and she was a true believer. Queenal would yell out as loud as she could, "Thank You Jesus, Thank You Jesus, Thank You Jesus!!!" when she felt the Spirit of the Lord. She was a woman of prayer who knew in her heart that without God she could do nothing.
Believing the scripture that states that if any would not work, neither should he eat, Queenal became employed at Cook's Fried Chicken and worked there for 18 years. She would then become employed with and retire from West Point Stevens after 20 years.
Queenal was preceded in death by her parents: Leroy and Mary Katherine Massaline; her twin sister: Emelle Massaline; two brothers: Israel Massaline Sr. and Matthew Massaline and a twin baby brother and sister that passed after birth.
She leaves to cherish her memories and legacy two beloved daughters: Paula (Leamon) Webb of Cottondale, FL and Stephanie "Faye" Massaline of Chipley, FL; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dr. Vernell Brunson, Jacksonville, FL and Mary Webb, Tampa, FL; six brothers: Robert (Bethel) Massaline, Leroy (Beatrice) Massaline, Jr., John Massaline and Timothy Massaline all of Chipley, FL, Elmer (Ina Sue) Massaline, Deland, FL, and Willie (Catherine) Massaline, Jacksonville, FL; aunt: Sally Smith of Tallahassee, FL; special friends: Sarah Moore and Richard Spencer both of Chipley, FL and Bertha Johnson of Cottondale, FL; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
