Obituary

Mr. Tilton "Speedy" Edwards, age 81, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020. He was born Dec. 14, 1938 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Virgil and Florance Andrews Edwards.

Mr. Edwards was a resident of Ponce De Leon, Florida. He was Presbyterian by faith and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as an electrician and plumber for many years. Having owned and operated Speedy Edwards and Son Plumbing and Electric. He also loved fishing.

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his father and mother; sisters Evelyn Collier and Katheleen Cosson.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 54 years Lynette "Net" Edwards of Ponce De Leon, Florida; son Charles "Chumpy" Bowden, wife Angela of Panama City, Florida; sisters Shirley Fleming of Prosperity, Florida, Christine Stone, husband Mike of Mississippi; grandchildren Bridget Scott, Brandy Brock, husband Raz; great grandchildren Haley Scott, Avery Scott, and Talen Scott.

A time of visitation was held from1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at Clary-Glenn Funeral p.m., Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, with Reverend Joel Glenn officiating. Those serving as pallbearers were Billy McCombs, Eric Rushing, Phillip Byrd, Stephen Byrd, and Alan Lee. Burial followed in New Ponce De Leon Cemetery. Flowers are being accepted.
