Velma Jenkins Stubbs
Bonifay - Velma Jenkins Stubbs, age 86 of Bonifay, Florida went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at her home in Bonifay, Florida.
Born Thursday, July 26, 1934 in Niceville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Charles Mack Jenkins and the late Norene Dunlap Jenkins. She was one of eight children raised by her loving mother after her father was killed when she was just sixteen months old. She grew up in Holmes County and deeply loved Bonifay and her Jenkins family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a servant's heart, always putting the needs of her family and friends first. No matter where she lived she never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.
Mrs. Stubbs is survived by her daughters, Debra Stubbs Harcus and husband Franklin of De Leon Springs, FL and Susan Stubbs of Bonifay, FL; 2 grand children, James and wife Stephanie Harcus, Jason and wife Beverli Harcus; 7 great grand children, Lauren, Makayla, Wesley, Averi, Jackson, Andon and Jace.
A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Shelly Chandler and Rev. Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment will be in Bonifay Cemetery, Bonifay, FL with Sims Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at First Baptist Church .
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gideons International and Emerald Coast Hospice.
The family require mask be worn and social distancing be practiced.
