Yvonne S. Fossett Stephens was born in Jacksonville Florida on 6/11/1930. She was 89 years old when she passed away 5/13/20

She is preceded in death by her father Daniel Conrad,(DC) Fossett. And her mother Lillian Fossett. Her sister Shirley Wolfe. She is survived by her 2 sons Mark and Paul and her daughter Nancy Stephens Shane.

Yvonne graduated from the university of Florida in 1952 with a science degree and then went on to receive a Masters degree in science in 1955. She was a school teacher in the 50's and 60;s in Duval Co Fl. and moved to Macclenny Florida and became the county school administrator for Baker Co. Fl during 1970 to 1982. Mom retired in 1982. And moved to Bonifay in 1983. During Yvonne's carrier, she was involved in implementing school programs for the disadvantaged and handicapped. She made several trips to Tallahassee for different special Education Programs for the disabled making sure that they were properly funded. She also did a lot of work at the state hospital in Macclenny, FL setting up programs for the kids. She loved children., which made her kids very lucky. Yvonne grew up during the depression She taught her kids the value of money and that "it did not grow on trees". she was a meticulous book keeper. Played the stocks.

She loved the church and what it stood for. She loved her husband Ray J Stephens and they are now together in gods celestial kingdom.

Her last years on earth she was able to enjoy weekends over at her sons home in Jacksonville Florida with family and friends. Her care takers at her residence were all special and loved Yvonne sincerely and she loved them.

She will be well missed by all.

A Graveside service was held on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Bonifay Cemetery with interment to follow with Sims Funeral Home directing.
